Journey to Caring for your Temple

Your Health

1. Do you value your health? If yes, what changes are you willing to make?

2. Our taste can be molded to appreciate simpler foods with less calories, and more nutrients.

3. Sugar has devastating effects on the body. The process of elimination can begin with modifying the desserts that we consume.

This week we will explore fruit. Most fruit is wholesome and nutritious…bananas contain the highest amount of carbs…for those who are Diabetics…you are allowed a banana- 4 inches in length-do not upgrade or supersize. ☺Your intake of the banana counts as one serving. Serving size for fruit is 2 cups per day.

The Medical community places alot of emphasis on avoiding fruit. However, fruit in an unadulterated natural state is healthy, even for patients with Diabetes. Watch your Carb intake- downsize potatoes and rice…transition to brown rice, and sweet potatoes (review correct portion sizes).

“Enjoy 5 a day—eat at least 2 servings of fruit and at least 3 servings of vegetables each day. Choose fresh, frozen, dried, and a variety of colors and kinds. Choose dark-green leafy vegetables, orange fruits and vegetables, and cooked dry beans and peas often.”

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,

It takes faith, trust, courage, and perseverance to serve God in today's unstable world. Yet, we are never alone. Pray every day and pray often. Study the Bible. The Scriptures are a Love Letter from God to those who accept Jesus as their personal Savior. You will receive comfort, knowledge, and wisdom from the Holy Spirit. "I have loved you with an everlasting love." Jeremiah 31:3. Be blessed in Jesus' name. Amen.
