Reflection on the Goodness of God

Practical Messages for Impractical times.

Yesterday, during our Mother-daughter day, I reflected on my life from May of 2017 to present. As I shared the changes that occurred during the past year, we started praising God. My employment on a temporary assignment as a HEDIS Reviewer ended on May 11, 2017. After submitting countless resumes, I was still unemployed after a two month period. I met with an employment counselor at Workforce who relayed that I qualified for two programs since I was over 55, and has a progressive medical condition. I took the initial step by setting up an appointment with a State Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. The advice that I was given was part of God’s divine plan for my life.

It is May 17, 2018, and I will never be required to secure gainful employment again. God has placed me in a position to use my talents minister to those in need. The rewards that I receive far outweigh a biweekly paycheck. My testimony is when we pray for guidance, God’s perfect plan will come to fruition. All we need to do is pray and wait. The miracles in the past year have strengthened my faith and trust in God. Yes, the storms of trials have been great in this past year; however, God has brought me through.

God’s divine intervention has given me victory in the areas where I needed to change. Studying the Word has made me realize that I was not in alignment with the plan for my life. Now I am preparing for Kingdom life one day at a time; by praying, waiting, and listening for spiritual guidance.

Thank you, God, for taking care of me even when I did not acknowledge you as my Heavenly Father.
