Eyes on Jesus

One of my favorite songs is a melody that I learned as a young child: “Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full into His wonderful face, and the things on earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.”

There are many times that we may wonder “Why is this happening?” Just remember that FIRE is required to remove the dross-impurities from gold to make it pure and valuable. Our lives are considered priceless to God and He desires refinement through complete transformation.

Our journey of Sanctification is a life-long process and requires many ups and downs through trials and trubulations. The great comfort is that we are being changed to meet God’s standards. So if God requires our lives to be in sync with His righteousness–then our prayer must be for strength to climb the mountain, not for the mountain to be removed.

I would like to share some words of encouragement from additional authors:

Thought for the Day by Ellen G. White

“If we keep uppermost in our minds the unkind and unjust acts of others, we shall find it impossible to love them as Christ has loved us; but if our thoughts dwell upon the wondrous love and pity of Christ for us, the same spirit will flow out to others. SC 121.”

“Without the experiences of trouble, calamity, grief, and adversities, you would not have the courage, strength, joy, or patience.” Dana Johnson Puller

God is able to sustain us through every hardship that we encounter; even so, Praying and Studying His Word is vital to give us the necessary strength to endure our fiery trials.

“Now to him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy. To the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ, Our Lord, Be Glory, Majesty, Dominion, and Authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. Jude 1:24-25

Challenge for today: Study Jude 1

Prayer for today: Dear God, We realize that we are focused on our hardships instead of focusing on you. Please help us to realize you are Omnipotent and capable of bringing us through as Victors when we rely completely on your power. Lord we present ourselves to you and ask you to cleanse us from all unrighteousness and fill us with your precious Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen!
