Now this is Love

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

It is said that love is complex, complicated, and based on many conditions that the receiver expects from the giver. Hmm. We cannot define love or its attributes because love has already been determined by God, who created love. In fact, God is the definition of love, and His love is unconditional.

When a baby is born to parents that have a healthy relationship, the baby is not capable of earning the love of his or her parents. From the moment of conception through birth, the baby is loved unconditionally.

We are unable to do anything to earn God’s love, it was freely given when He bent down to create humanity from dirt; it was freely given when He gave Jesus, His only Son to die for our sins; it is freely given through His daily grace and mercies–we are alive! God does not coerce us or force us to receive His love. We have been given the free will of choice to accept God’s love and sacrifices for all humanity.

There are many benefits to accepting the unconditional love of God:

God’s love is always available, His love meets us exactly where we are in life, and is free of complexities or complications.

Just by the simple act of believing in the Trinity Godhead; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, we can live a worry-free and peaceful existence.

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; also believe in me. John 14:1. Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid. John 14:27.

Our present life void of love and full of sorrow, sickness, and death are not indicative of what God has prepared for us, Revelation chapters 21 and 22. God has additional plans for those who love Him: and we will be given immortality and live in a New Heaven and New Earth when Jesus returns as He promised.

It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. 1 Corinthians 15:52.

Give yourself a love gift on Valentine’s Day. Believe, accept, learn, and practice God’s definition of love: Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 1 Corinthians 13:4, 5

Prepare yourself! Our greatest gift is coming very soon, an everlasting life full of LOVE, peace, and joy forever, and ever. Amen!

I am a Woman of God who desires to provide spiritual guidance to those in mental, emotional, and spiritual distress. Many of us have experienced a devastating life event within the past three years. If so, then we share something in common. My life restarted in 2020. And my healing journey lasted for 16 months. It takes courage, perseverance, faith, and trust in God to restructure and build a new life. Yet, in Isaiah 43, verses 1-3, God promises us that we will never be alone. We can have the assurance that God is with us in every stormy hardship. Pray daily and pray often. Study the Bible. The Scriptures are a Love Letter from God to those who accept Jesus as their personal Savior. You will receive comfort, knowledge, and wisdom. God says, "I have loved you with an everlasting love." Jeremiah 31:3. Be blessed in Jesus' name. Amen. By profession, I am a Registered Nurse, with a passion for helping others overcome the obstacles in their lives.
