Are you Safe?

Twice a day, I receive notification from my antivirus software, “You are safe. We’re looking out for your device and data.” Yes, I am reassured by Bitdefender that my electronic devices have not been hacked or infiltrated by the enemy.
The temptation to go against the spiritual knowledge and wisdom that God has reserved for his own is upon us. We are living in a time where the new normal is to accept false beliefs and teachings and have total disregard for statistical data or the warnings from Medical experts.
The majority vote from individuals whose primary concern is money is to Reopen. They have reasoned that it is better for some people to die than for our economy to crash. As one journalist wrote, “We cannot continue to shut down our economy to preserve a few lives.”
What is the law of nature? Only the Strong survive! Harsh or not, the United States has 1,092,815 cases and 64,283 deaths, but even the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has instructions on its website to “Get & Keep America Open.”
The pandemic has turned our lives upside down or has it? If your trust and faith in God had deep roots before the coronavirus, then you are steadfast and immovable.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the Blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” Daniel 3:16-18
We are facing an invisible enemy that is viciously attacking regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, or socioeconomic status—the majority of the people who are demanding a “Reopen” are safely in their homes and checking the status of their Stocks.
Are you aware that the Meat-packing industry has 4,900 employees infected with the coronavirus? The chances are highly probable that their families are also affected, but yet many demand, “give us meat.” The order was executed for the employees to return to work. Have these individuals with a contagious and infectious disease completed the full cycle of the coronavirus–from infection to full recovery or do we have diseased workers processing meat?
Compromise is deadly! Especially from a spiritual perspective.
Numbers 11 tells us of the story of the Israelites demanding meat. The unbelievers who left Egypt and journeyed beside the freed people began to complain about the manna that God provided to sustain their physical well-being. Instead of focusing on their deliverance from bondage, they were swayed from that which was spiritual– The Promised land — and became fixated on food. Do you see the parallel? We are concerned about Stimulus monies, reopening, our jobs, and the economy instead of Eternal life.
What are your demands during this crisis? Are you praying that things will return to normal? Is it because you are enjoying the life that you worked so hard to establish? If so, then your prayers are amiss. Signs of the last days of earth’s existence are being fulfilled.
Our prayers must focus on the renewing of our salvation, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10. The coronavirus is just the beginning. If you are confused by the many opinions and fearful because of the collapse of the economy, then you are not viewing life through spiritual eyes. Where do you stand in these last days? Living a faith-based life means that we are content and thankful for the blessings that we are receiving from God. Living by faith is becoming dependent on God as a newborn babe is dependent on its parents.
A Call to Repentance
That is why the Lord says,
“Turn to me now, while there is time.
Give me your hearts.
Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning…” Joel 2:12
Never forget this is our Father’s World. For every beast of the forest is Mine And the cattle on a thousand hills. Psalm 50:10
Our very existence depends upon God, who made the heavens and the earth. This pandemic crisis is not a surprise. God is prepared to take care of His own– the faithful few. Nor is He served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. Acts 17:25
“But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15
Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full into His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.

I am a Woman of God who desires to provide spiritual guidance to those in mental, emotional, and spiritual distress. Many of us have experienced a devastating life event within the past three years. If so, then we share something in common. My life restarted in 2020. And my healing journey lasted for 16 months. It takes courage, perseverance, faith, and trust in God to restructure and build a new life. Yet, in Isaiah 43, verses 1-3, God promises us that we will never be alone. We can have the assurance that God is with us in every stormy hardship. Pray daily and pray often. Study the Bible. The Scriptures are a Love Letter from God to those who accept Jesus as their personal Savior. You will receive comfort, knowledge, and wisdom. God says, "I have loved you with an everlasting love." Jeremiah 31:3. Be blessed in Jesus' name. Amen. By profession, I am a Registered Nurse, with a passion for helping others overcome the obstacles in their lives. I am a writer of Devotionals, Romantic Poetry, and Research Articles. The recent development of Mentoring and launching as a Motivational Speaker has prompted me to address real-life issues for women from a spiritual perspective.
