Motivational therapists agree that spoken words have a greater impact on the human psyche. We are encouraged to speak positive affirmations outloud. Still, the reality is that we were created to be forever dependents of God. We find that our strength can only carry us to a certain point. And then we hit the wall–the roadblock that requires Divine Intervention for removal and the ability to move forward.
“Without faith it is impossible to please God.” Hebrews 11:6. Believing that God exists and He loves and cares for you is the first step to establishing a deep relationship with our Heavenly Father. Do you believe that God is your Father?
Now this is what the Lord says the One who created you, Jacob and the One who formed you, Israel. Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and the rivers will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, and the flame will not burn you. For I am the Lord your God the Holy One of Israel and your Savior. Isaiah 43:1-3
God’s promises are true. No one else can make and keep binding promises that proclaim supernatural power, but God. Begin to make God’s promises personal by putting your name in the promise. “Now this is what the Lord says the One who created you, Sonya and the one who formed you Sonya… .” Speak the promise outloud! Remember, God’s promises are not affirmations that rely on our limited abilities. God tells us, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:27.
Our prayers and decision to believe in God must remain steadfast in the calm times as well as in the seasons of severe, stormy trials. We know that God’s promises are always, Yes and Amen!
Declaration of Victory: God, I believe that all things are possible through you. I believe that you love me and are taking care of every aspect of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen [It is so!]
We can enjoy a worry-free life full of joy, peace, and happiness when we faithfully believe that All things are possible with God. © 2021 Sonya Johnson, Faithful Fishers Ministry
