We were created to live eternally with God. The Plan of Salvation was not an afterthought. The All-knowing [Omniscient] God accepted Jesus’ sacrificial gift to willingly die for us before humanity was created. The unequaled love that redeems us from sin also immediately forgives us of our sins when we repent.
“I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage, I have overcome the world!” (John 16:33)
The righteous can expect a life of struggle. Yes, we will suffer from hardships and sorrows. There is no other way to build our faith and change our character to have the attributes of the Fruit of the Spirit [Galatians 5:22-23].
Preparation for eternal life begins in our earthly journey. Spiritual transformation is lifelong and requires human effort and Divine Intervention. Our relationship with Christ enables us to receive His Agape love throughout our lives. Jesus promised the disciples that the Holy Spirit would come and empower us to stay on the Path of Righteousness.
God has provided us with the Holy Spirit to teach, direct, and give us spiritual strength, wisdom, and discernment. Our guardian angels protect us from physical harm and unseen spiritual warfare every moment. In the Holy Scriptures, God has revealed signs of the last days and the end time.
But know this, that in the last days, perilous times will come For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
According to Matthew chapter 24 and the book of Revelation, we are living in the last days. The union of state [government] and the [false] church is the fulfillment of one of the prophecies in Revelation that indicates the end of time. Although the prophecy has not occurred yet, we must pray for discernment of the Scriptures as we diligently prepare for eternal life.
As long as we are faithful, loyal, and obedient, we are guaranteed that Jesus is committed to saving us. “…Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ…” (Philippians 1:6).
“He will sustain you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 1:8)
“For the vision awaits an appointed time; it testifies of the end and does not lie. Though it lingers, wait for it, since it will surely come and will not delay” (Habakkuk 2:3).
You need to persevere, so that after you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised. For, “In just a little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay (Hebrews 10:36-37).
