Praying For A Blessing?

The Blessing Is Jesus: “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28).

Often when we are facing challenges, obstacles, and adversity, we pray, asking God for the blessing of resolving our hardships. Yet what we usually mean is, “God, can You fix and remove this situation from my life right now?

In Matthew chapter 6, Jesus promises to provide us with the necessities of life: “So why do you worry about clothing? Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Verses 28, 31-33).

Our prayer for the provisions of life is a simple prayer of faith and gratitude: Lord God, in Matthew 6, You promised to provide food and clothes for us and we thank You for hearing, answering, and providing for our family. In Jesus’ Holy Name, Amen.

“Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!” (Psalm 27:14).

I am a living witness that God always provides and He is always on time. We do not have to beg God for our necessities. Remain faithful, He is Yahweh Yireh. Yes and Amen!

Trials Build Our Faith and Trust in God and Develop Our Characters

“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” (1 Peter 5:10, ESV).

A pastor stated, “When experiencing tough times, God is more interested in changing your character than in your comfort.”

Yahweh Ezer, meaning ‘The LORD Our Help’ or ‘The LORD My Helper.’ Psalm 33:20, identifies God as our strength and shield.”

When we are experiencing trials, our prayers should reflect faith and trust in Jesus’ promise to help us. Although we cannot ask God how to help us, we can ask Jesus for the blessing of specific spiritual gifts.

God’s first priority with gifting blessings was to give us Jesus, His only Son. Yes, God, the Father has given us our greatest Spiritual Blessing, Jesus, Who is our Savior, Redeemer, Intercessor, Helper, and Mediator between God and humanity.

“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation or shadow cast…”[for He is perfect and never changes]. (James 1:17, Amplified Bible).

And from Jesus, The Giver of all Good Gifts, we receive [without limits] His supernatural strength, which empowers us to persevere and keep moving forward. Jesus also gives us the additional blessings of comfort, peace, joy, and contentment, which reveal His immense love for us.

“Let us then approach God’s Throne of Grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”(Hebrews 4:16, NIV).

Jesus has given us an open invitation to pray, ask, wait, and we will receive, with the condition that are requests bring honor and glory to God, the Father’s Holy Name. Pray, Wait, and Obey.

And to prevent us from feeling hopeless and helpless, we use our faith to stay connected to Jesus through much prayer [Pray continuously. 1 Thessalonians 5:17].

Our prayers should always include loving words of gratitude for God’s loving kindness and faithfulness. In the struggle, our faith is tested during the wait. Do not give up, and do not follow your thoughts.

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” (Romans 12:12). Believing that we are forever loved by God and He will deliver us, gives us courage, and keeps us anchored in Jesus Christ.

From embracing Jesus, God, the Son as our greatest blessing from God, the Father invites the Holy Spirit to strengthen our faith, and we can witness to others the Love, Faithfulness, and Power of Jesus Christ.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7, ESV).

Lord God, we offer this prayer of gratitude, thanking You for Your love, faithfulness, and the gift of your Precious Son, Jesus Christ, who is humanity’s Greatest Blessing. We also  ask this prayer as an Intercessory prayer. Lord, we ask You to supply food, housing, and clothing to those who are striving to serve You, but cannot provide for themselves for reasons that You are aware of, and we, Thank You for those provisions. As we enter the Holy hours of the Sabbath, we pray for the Spiritual blessings of Your Living Water, and ask You to feed us with the Bread of Life. Lord, we also ask You for knowledge, wisdom, and the strength to persevere in our walk with Jesus. In faith, and with gratitude, we ask this prayer in the Loving and Holy Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

God Is Love And God Loves You

“Because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy.'” (1 Peter 1:16).

“God is pure Holiness, and when we come to Him, we must see Him as being Holy.”

“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you.” (Jeremiah 31:3, Amplified Bible).

“God is love. Love is His character. Love is the very essence of who He is. God is love, Jesus created us in His image (Gen. 1:27) to love and to desire love.”

“In Hebrew, one major word for love is hesed. This describes God’s covenant love for humankind, which encompasses traits of loyalty, protectiveness, steadfastness, and tenderness.”

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'” (John 14:6). “God, the Father’s Love is revealed and given to humanity through Jesus Christ.”

The Holy Scriptures give us evidence of Jesus’ Divine Love for us. Each new day, we receive the phenomenal blessing of God’s Ruach breath, which keeps us alive.

Studying the Scriptures keeps us anchored in Christ. When life’s challenges and adversities arrive, our first response is a prayer for help. Faith and trust in God’s promises to help us gives us abundant peace, hope, and happiness.

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33, Amplified Bible).

The Christian journey results in a tough life that requires experiencing trials, overcoming temptations, and choosing every day to live a sacrificial life of self-denial, still Jesus commands us to be courageous:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9).

We have an unbreakable promise that God is with us. Daily surrender, prayer, and Bible Study strengthens our faith, keeps us connected to Christ, giving us comfort and peace despite our circumstances.

“How well do you know God’s Character and the history of His Divine Intervention?

Proof of God’s Faithfulness: The Bible gives us total access to the many stories of God’s intervention, protecting and rescuing the righteous from their enemies.

In fact, the Apostle Paul compares the Christian journey to a life of a soldier [Ephesians 6]. So we would never feel alone and discouraged, Jesus invites us to continuously ask Him for strength and help:

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16).

With God, victory is guaranteed, not only do we receive the spiritual strength to persevere and keep moving forward, Satan’s schemes are always defeated. Yes and Amen!

Reflection: What is our response to God’s Amazing and Endless Love? We respond with hearts that are filled with love, honor, and gratitude to God.

Yes, we have hope in God’s promises! On Calvary’s Cross, Jesus Christ won The Great Controversy between Good and Evil

Christian soldiers utilize prayer as our first response to every challenge. When personal worship is our priority, we receive angelic protection from seen and invisible spiritual dangers [Ephesians 6:10-13].

“For He will give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways.” (Psalm 91:11).

From inviting Christ, our Savior and Triumphant King to have dominion in our lives, we receive the promise that all of Heaven is committed to helping us to live as overcomers.

Everything Has Its Time: “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

In Revelation chapter 19, Jesus reveals how He will remove sin and wickedness. Despite the escalation of evil on this earth, God’s loving promises give us hope, peace, and contentment.

“We love Him because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19). Loving God is the foundation of our relationship with Jesus Christ.

With joyful anticipation, we have this hope that we will live eternally with our Triumphant King forever in the New Heaven and New Earth. Hallelujah! Amen!

Lord God, for this new day of life and for the Holy Sabbath, we praise your Holy Name. We rejoice because Your promises are steadfast and You are always faithful. We are so grateful that You never change. Thank You for giving us Spiritual Stability, which strengthens our faith, and releases all of our anxieties and worries. We honor and revere Your Sovereign Authority and in faith, we ask this prayer in the Loving and Righteous Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Cultivating a Spirit of Gratitude – God, We Thank You

“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand.” (Psalm 95:6-7).

Beginning each new day with a heart filled with praise and gratitude to God is a life-changing experience! From focusing on our blessings, our hearts are filled with love, joy, and peace.

Prayers of Gratitude redirects our focus from our desires to God’s overflowing blessings of life, health, an alert and oriented mind, and angelic protection from all harm.

Every day, we should express, “Thank You, God” for our consistent blessings of His guidance, resolving our challenges, and receiving all of our provisions.

Another blessing that we may take for granted, is the freedom to worship God without suffering persecution. Thousands of Christian brothers and sisters must worship God secretly, and we pray that God will give them strength to persevere.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” (James 1:17).

Because God loves us and we trust Him, we know that we have all that we need. Grateful hearts also receive [from Christ] the spiritual gifts of peace, joy, and happiness.

By maintaining a spirit of commitment, we reveal our love, loyalty, and appreciation to Jesus Christ, Yahweh Yireh, our Faithful Provider, who deserves our praise and worship.

King David reminds us throughout the Book of Psalms to place our “full hope, trust, and joy in the LORD, who is our Shield and Helper.”

True joy comes from trusting in Jesus’ Holy Name and thanking Him for His Amazing Love, Grace, and Mercy. Yes and Amen!

Lord God, You have blessed us with another day of life, and we come to You with hearts filled with gratitude for all that You do for us. Yahweh Yireh, our Faithful Provider, we thank You for the sacrificial gift of Your life, for shielding us from unseen spiritual warfare and physical danger, and giving us hope, joy, and peace. In faith and with gratitude, we ask this prayer in the Loving and Righteous Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

The LORD Is a Great God! Sabbath Peace and Blessings

“For the Lord is the great God…Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.” (Psalm 95:3, 1-2).

Today is the last day of January, 2026. Because of God’s amazing Love and Mercies, we are still alive! How do we return our love for all that we receive from God?

“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand.” (Psalm 95:6-7).

The commitment of personal daily worship, Prayer, Bible Study, and Singing praises of gratitude reveals our love, loyalty, and reverence for God, whose Love, Grace, Mercies, and Provisions flow abundantly.

“Heaven is waiting to [give] its richest blessings upon those who will consecrate themselves to do the work of God in these Last Days of the world’s history.”

The richest blessings that we need to live as victorious overcomers are not material possessions, wealth, and success. We require the daily empowerment of the Holy Spirit to stay on the Path of Righteousness that leads from Earth to Heaven.

Lord God, You have Sovereign Authority over our lives, this earth, and the universe. We come to You in humility, surrendering ourselves to You, and asking for the spiritual blessings of peace, wisdom, and the strength to persevere in this tough journey of life filled with obstacles, temptations, and dangers. Yet, because of Your love, we have safety. Lord, you promised to never leave us or forsake us; and we believe in Your promises that when we run to You, we  will have refuge because You are a Strong Tower. Lord, we seek the blessings of spiritual restoration, peace, contentment, and joy, as we worship You on this Holy Sabbath Day. In faith, we ask this prayer in the Loving Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

God Never Sees a Situation As Impossible

“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” (Jeremiah 32:27).

We use our faith to believe that God is who He says He is: Loving and Omnipotent [All-Powerful], and YAHWEH Yireh [Our Provider]. Trusting God is easy when we are confident that He loves us and desires the best for our lives.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes.” (Proverbs 3:5-7).

Unbelieving Believers: Believing only that God exists in Heaven happens when we redirect our faith and trust from God to ourselves. Sadly, many feel unloved by God because they trust their limited abilities to resolve life’s challenges.

When we doubt God’s Love, Power, and Promises, we place ourselves on the same spiritual status as unbelievers, who consistently play The Game of Chance with their lives, always experiencing consequences, and never having peace.

Although God created us to depend totally on His thoughts, plans, and help, He never forces us to love, obey, and trust Him. We are free to choose the course of our lives and whether or not we desire Eternal Life.

Self-Reliance Is The Weed that Produces Discouragement and Consequences

“Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.” (Proverbs 28:26, ESV). Wisdom is a blessing that only comes from obeying God.

Ouch! Although God’s words sound harsh, because we have placed our thoughts above God’s higher thoughts and ways [Isaiah 55:8-9], we need a spiritual reality check to come to our senses.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6, NIV).

God is not punitive. Satan is the evil one who brings chaos and confusion into our lives. Every day, Satan mistreats unbelievers according to his diabolical schemes.

“The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.” (Psalm 121:7-8, ESV).

But for the believer’s striving to follow Christ with faithful obedience, Elohim Shomri places protective boundaries around us. Study Psalm 91.

In John 16:33, Jesus warns us that we will face overwhelming trials that only He can resolve. Every day, we can build our faith by praying for guidance in resolving our small obstacles, so when the tsunami trial hits, our first response is a prayer of Faith: Lord, You promised that if I come to You in faith, You will help me.

We never have to perceive challenges and adversity as impossible if we acknowledge that Jesus Christ is our Shepherd and follow Him with faith, surrender, and obedience.

“We are the sheep of his pasture” (Psalm 100:3) reveals that “Christ is our Creator and Shepherd, who leads, provides, and protects His people (us) with abundant blessings and care of His presence, calling us to joyful worship and gratitude for His unending love and faithfulness. It emphasizes our belonging to Him, acknowledging our dependence on Him for guidance and provision in life.”

To remain in right standing with God, we are required to love God by putting Him first; No one, including ourselves, should come before God. Our highest worship is faithful obedience.

Returning to God Is a Life-Saving Decision: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9).

Prayer of Confession: “God, my faith is weak because I have been trusting in myself instead of You, and for my self-reliance, and not trusting You, I ask for forgiveness.”

God’s Response: “I will answer them before they even call to Me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!” (Isaiah 65:24, NLT).

“It is possible for us to do our best and still not see the light at the end of the tunnel. But that is because we have limited human ability.”

The Journey of Faith requires the courage to completely trust God with everything. Humility is the Key that Opens the Door of Faith: Even when we think that we can resolve our challenges, we redirect our faith, asking God to intervene.

Pray and involve God in every decision! Our Daily Prayer: LORD, I don’t know what I will face today, but You know. I believe that Your Power is Unlimited, and I desperately need Your Help. In Jesus’ Powerful Name, Amen.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9). “God’s power is most evident when we admit our own inadequacy; embracing weakness opens the door for the Holy Spirit to empower us with Jesus’ Divine Strength.”

“God specializes in situations that human eyes [our minds] perceive as impossible. God is the God Who reveals that impossibilities are His specialty; He makes a way where there seems to be no way!”

“For the individuals who hold on to their faith in God, believing in His Unlimited Power, are the people who receive God’s greatest blessings and miracles.” Yes and Amen!

Lord God, we come to You confessing and repenting for using our gift of faith to trust in ourselves. We admit that we have embraced a stubborn spirit of self-reliance. Lord, we have tried every option, but our solutions have failed. We stand at the crossroads, knowing that we are helpless; Lord, we desperately need Your Help! We thank You for hearing and answering our prayer of need that we ask in faith and in the Powerful Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Bible Study: Mark 9:14-29.
