Sleepless nights along with constant worries are a sure sign that we do not believe in the power of God. Many Believers are just as anxious and concerned with the vicissitudes of life as the unbelievers. Have you considered that trusting in yourself leads to ongoing internal conflict? The consequences of thinking too highly of ourselves and lacking scriptural knowledge of God’s promises prevents us from having a relationship with Jesus Christ based on faith and trust.
Can you imagine a best friend, husband, wife, or child saying this to you, “To be honest, I have never really trusted you?” Our mindsets and lifestyles reveal “In Whom We Trust.” God knows our resume of strengths and weaknesses. Still, He desires that we embrace His Omnipotence. God is fully aware that He is perfect. We lack peace [joy and happiness] because of our entanglement in the struggle of Faith and Trust in God. Therefore, we must trust Him wholeheartedly with our lives and the faith that He will always provide or sacrifice our free gifts of peace, joy, and contentment.
Omniscient–All-knowing. From the beginning to the end God knows every detail–great and small of our lives. Our future is completely known to our Heavenly Father.
To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him? Isaiah 40:18
Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers… . Isaiah 40:21-22
Because we have reached a certain socioeconomic status, accumulated an overabundance of our desires, and have attained the worldly goal of success, we have placed a spiritual brick wall between Jesus and us. It is not possible to trust in God and to trust in ourselves.
And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:6
God Promises are “Yes” and “Amen”
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 5:31-34
But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
No one can promise us the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical strength that God will give to us. In every circumstance, trial, hardship, and sorrow, Jesus promises to be close and to heal those who are brokenhearted.
