Here’s to your Health

As a nurse, I made an oath “To do no harm.” Health Education regarding diseases, prevention strategies, nutrition, exercise, and rest not only provides empowerment, but the body is also able to function properly and achieve an optimal level of health. Each Wednesday, the focus will be health-related and will include suggestions on using a natural and holistic approach to love ourselves by eliminating toxic and destructive habits. We will explore the Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, and Physical components of the Mind/Body connection.

Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. Psalm 139:14

Who loves you? Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 1 Corinthians 6:19

We believe that it is our privilege every day of our lives to glorify God upon the earth; that we are not to live in this world merely for our own amusement, merely to please ourselves. We are here to benefit humanity, to be a blessing to society…

We here behold the beauties of nature… As we behold these works of nature we should let the mind be carried up higher, to nature’s God; let it be elevated to the Creator of the universe, and then adore the Creator who has made all these beautiful things for our benefit and happiness.

We must take periods of rest, periods of recreation, periods for contemplation.

Good Eats Green veggies provide the highest level of nutrients for our bodies. If you are not a veggie-lover, try different recipes such as the broccoli rice. Use fresh, organic seasonings and a small amount of extra virgin olive oil, first cold-pressed, slightly steamed, or stir-fried. Your body will thank you.

The Cardiac and Respiratory systems work in harmony with each other. Whatever impacts the heart will also lead to impaired functioning of the lungs. Stay Safe! Practice social distancing, wear your mask and pray for safety.
